COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CROMOLYN SODIUM NASAL SOLUTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Cromolyn Sodium Nasal Solution, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
Each metered dose shall deliver 5.2 mg of Cromolyn Sodium per inhalation within the applicable assay limits.
Workmanship. Product shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. For Type I – Package (PG). Shall be supplied 13 ml in a commercially available container. Container shall be supplied together with a nasal spray device equipped with a metered-dose valve. When container is used in conjunction with nasal spray device, the assembled unit shall deliver at least 100 single nasal inhalations. One package containing one container together a nasal spray device equipped with metered-dose valve, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Type II – Container (CO). Shall be supplied 13 ml in a commercially available container. container shall be suitable for use (compatible) with nasal spray device under type I above. One container, as specified, constitutes one unit.
