FAT EMULSION INJECTION
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Fat Emulsion Injection
Materials used in manufacture shall be of pharmaceutical grade.
For Strength 1, shall be a 10% Fat Emulsion Injection.
For Strength 2, shall be a 20% Fat Emulsion Injection.
For Type 1, shall contain only Soybean Oil.
For Type 2, shall contain only Soybean Oil and Sunflower Oil.
The following formula shall apply for Type 1, Strength 1:
