COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
OXACILLIN SODIUM FOR INJECTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-O-37324A which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Oxacillin Sodium for Injection, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be pharmaceutical grade.
For strength 1, shall contain a quantity of Oxacillin Sodium equivalent to 0.5 Gram of Oxacillin, within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
For strength 2, shall contain a quantity of Oxacillin Sodium equivalent to 1.0 Gram of Oxacillin, within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
For strength 3, shall contain a quantity of Oxacillin Sodium equivalent to 2 Grams of Oxacillin, within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
For strength 4, shall contain a quantity of Oxacillin Sodium equivalent to 4 Grams of Oxacillin, within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
For strength 5, shall contain a quantity of Oxacillin Sodium equivalent to 10 Gram of Oxacillin, within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
For strength 2, Type I, shall be provided in a commercially available vial.
For strength 2, Type II, shall be provided in an oversized bottle.
