COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TICARCILLIN DISODIUM, STERILE, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristic.
Shall be Ticarcillin Disodium, Sterile, USP.
All materials shall be of pharmaceutical grade.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
For Strength 1, shall contain a quantity of Ticarcillin Disodium equivalent to 6 grams of Ticarcillin, within the applicable assay limits.
For Strength 1, shall be suitable for intramuscular and intravenous use.
For Strength 2, shall contain a quantity of Ticarcillin Disodium equivalent to 20 grams of Ticarcillin, within the applicable assay limits.
For Strength 2, Bottle/Vial shall be compatible with stocklisted intravenous sets:

Workmanship. The product shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Strength 1 – Package (PG). shall be supplied in a commercially available vial. One package containing 10 vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
