COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CANTHARIDIN COLLODION TOPICAL SOLUTION
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristics.
Shall be Cantharidin Collodion Topical Solution containing 0.7 percent w/v Cantharidin, Acetone, Castor Oil and other suitable ingredients in sufficient quantities to produce a film-forming vehicle.
Shall contain not less than 90.0 percent and not more than 110.0 percent Cantharidin when tested by a suitable, accurate, and reproducible method.
Shall be capable of producing a film when tested by a suitable, accurate and reproducible method acceptable to the Government. The bidder or offeror shall submit with its bid or proposal the test method for the film-forming requirement. If the method is approved by and acceptable to the Government, such method shall be employed in the testing of the solution and need not be resubmitted provided the bidder or offeror certifies that there has been no change in formulation or method of manufacture.
Workmanship. The solution shall be free from defects which may detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
