COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CLINDAMYCIN PHOSPHATE INJECTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-C-37411A which is cancelled.
Salient Characteristics:
Shall be Clindamycin Phosphate Injection, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
Materials used in manufacture shall be pharmaceutical grade.
Shall contain the equivalent of 150 mg of Clindamycin per ml of injection, within the applicable assay limits.
Workmanship. Injection shall be free from defects which may detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1 – Package (PG). One package containing one hundred 2 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2 – Package (PG). One package containing one hundred 4 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 3 – Package (PG). One package containing twenty-five 4 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 4 – Package (PG). One package containing one hundred 6 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 5 – Package (PG). One package containing twenty-five 2 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 6 – Package (PG). One package containing twenty-five 6 ml vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
