COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
HYDROXYZINE HYDROCHLORIDE INJECTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Interim Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-H-37781 which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride Injection, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of USP.
Materials use in manufacture shall be of a pharmaceutical grade.
Shall contain 50 mg of Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride in each ml of injection within the applicable assay limits.
Workmanship. The injection shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1- Package (PG). Shall be supplied 2 ml in a commercially available via. One package containing 25 vials, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2- Vial (VI). One vial containing 10 ml, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
