COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
ISOSORBIDE DINITRATE TABLETS, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-I-37359A which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics.
Shall be isosorbide Dinitrate Tablets, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be of a pharmaceutical grade.
Strength:
1. 2.5 mg
2. 5 mg
3. 10 mg
4. 20 mg
5. 30 mg
6. 40 mg
The tablets shall assay to contain the labeled amount of Isosorbide Dinitrate within the applicable assay limits for the tablets.
Tablet Type:
1. Oral
2. Chewable
3. Extended-release
4. Sublingual
The applicable Official USP Monograph shall apply for each specific type of tablet.
