COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
NYSTATIN CREAM, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-N-37311 which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics.
Shall be Nystatin Cream, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be of a pharmaceutical grade.
Shall contain 100,000 USP units of Nystatin in each gram of the cream within the applicable assay limits for the cream.
The cream may be perfumed at the option of the supplier.
Workmanship. The cream shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1 - Tube (TU). One tube containing 15 grams, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2 - Tube (TU). One tube containing 30 grams, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 3 - Jar (JR). One jar containing 240 grams, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
