COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CALCIUM CHLORIDE INJECTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient Characteristics:
Shall be Calcium Chloride Injection, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
Shall contain 0.1 Gram of Calcium Chloride in each ml of the injection within the applicable assay limits for the injection.
All ingredients shall of a pharmaceutical grade.
Workmanship. The injection shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG).
For Size 1, shall be supplied 10 ml in either a single dose vial or an ampul. One package containing 25 vials or 25 ampuls, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2, shall be a syringe-needle unit consisting of a clear, colorless, cylindrical, flat-bottom, graduated, threaded rubber stoppered glass vial with a plastic plug cap: the vial shall be packaged together with a translucent, plastic vial-injection containing a plastic cylinder, threaded at one end and attached to the base of the injector barrel at the other, and an 18 or 20 gauge by 3-1/2 inch needle (exposed) extending length of and
