COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TETRAHYDROZOLINE HYDROCHLORIDE OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-T-37554 which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be of a pharmaceutical grade.
Shall be a solution containing 0.05 percent Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride within the applicable assay limits for the solution.
Workmanship. The solution shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1 – Bottle (BT). Shall be supplied 15 ml in a commercially available bottle with a dropper (the dropper provided shall be compatible with and form a tight fit with the bottle). One bottle, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2 – Bottle (BT). Shall be supplied 15 ml in a plastic squeeze bottle with ophthalmic tip. One bottle, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 3 – Bottle (BT). Shall be supplied 0.75 ounces in a plastic squeeze bottle with ophthalmic tip. One bottle, as specified, constitutes one unit.
