COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
ISOPROTENOL SULFATE INHALATION AEROSOL, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-I-37211 which is cancelled.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Isoprotenol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosol, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be of a pharmaceutical grade.
Shall contain 2 mg of Isoprotenol Sulfate per ml within the applicable assay limits.
Each metered dose delivered through the oral adapter shall contain approximately 0.08 mg of Isoprotenol Sulfate within the applicable assay limits.
Workmanship. The product shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1 – Package (PG). One package containing a 15 ml vial equipped with a metering valve and a rigid adaptor for inhalation therapy, as specified, constitutes one unit. The vial shall deliver a minimum of 450 single oral inhalations.
For Size 2 – Package (PG). One package containing a 22.5 ml vial equipped with a metering valve and a rigid adaptor for inhalation therapy, as specified, constitutes one unit. The vial shall deliver a minimum of 450 single oral inhalations.
