COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BETAMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE CREAM, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient Characteristics:
Shall be Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream, USP, in a hydrophilic emollient cream base.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
All ingredients shall be of a pharmaceutical grade and the finished cream shall be smooth and free from lumps or grittiness.
Shall contain Betamethasone Dipropionate equivalent to 0.05 percent of Betamethasone, within the applicable assay limits.
Workmanship. The cream shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Tube (TU).
For Size 1, one tube containing 45 grams, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 2, one tube containing 15 grams, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
