COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
ALPRAZOLAM TABLETS, USP
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be Alprazolam Tablets, USP.
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of the USP.
For strength 1, shall contain 0.25 mg of Alprazolam per tablet within the applicable assay limits.
For strength 2, shall contain 0.5 mg of Alprazolam per tablet within the applicable assay limits for tablets.
For strength 3, shall contain 1 mg of Alprazolam per tablet within the applicable assay limits for the tablets.
Workmanship. The Tablets shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit.
For Size 1 – Bottle (BT). One bottle containing 100 tablets, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For size 2 – Package (PG). One package containing 100 individually sealed tablets, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 3 – Bottle (BT). One bottle, containing 500 tablets, as specified, constitutes one unit.
DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.
