The projected portion of the needle shall be surrounded by a protective plastic hood allowing only 3/8 inch needle exposure to protect against direct intravenous infusion yet facilitate injection into a flexible intravenous container. The injector shall be sealed with plastic needle guard and a plastic snap cap. The fluid pathway of all components shall be sterile. Shall be suitable for use with the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Kit, specified in the Note Section of this document. One package containing 10 disposable syringe-needle units, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 8, shall be supplied in a 5 ml commercially available disposable syringe-needle unit. The needle shall be 21or 22 gage, 1-1/2 inch (3.8 cm). The labeling shall indicate suitability for intravenous use. One package containing 10 disposable syringe-needle units, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 10, shall be supplied in a 5 ml commercially available disposable syringe-needle unit. The needle shall be 22 gage, 15/16 or 1-1/2 inches. The labeling shall indicate suitability for intravenous use. One package containing 10 disposable syringe-needle units, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 12, shall be supplied 5 ml in a commercially available vial. One package containing 10 disposable syringe-needle units, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Bottle (BT).
For Size 3, shall be supplied 50 ml in a commercially available vial. (Bottle).One bottle, as specified, constitutes one unit.
For Size 4, shall be supplied 20 ml in a commercially available vial. (Bottle).One bottle, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Vial (VI).
For Size 5, shall be supplied 20 ml in a commercially available vial. One vial, as specified, constitutes one unit.
