The containers shall contain the labeled amount of Sodium Fluoride, equivalent to Fluoride Ion, within the applicable assay limits for the oral solution.
The solution shall contain a suitable preservative and/or suitable preservatives.
Workmanship. The solution shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.

Container:
1. Bottle (BT). Shall be supplied in a plastic dropper tip bottle, calibrated to deliver the labeled dose of Fluoride ion in a solution of Sodium Fluoride.
2. Package (PG). Shall be supplied in commercially available bottle with an accompanying dropper calibrated to deliver 0.5 mg fluoride ion and 0.25 mg fluoride ion. The bottle shall have a minimum height of 51 mm base to shoulder, or the bottle and dropper shall be packaged together in a commercially available container (minimum height of 51 mm) that is suitable for the application of a pharmacy dispensing (RX) label.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
